If you don't mind dry camping, the Nevada Beach campground is super. Full beach access (dogs restricted to one area only), close to attractions but far enough away to still seem like camping. We were there just before close of season for a week and did not run out of things to do. And they honor the Golden Age/Access card for half price camping. Best value in the area, with good access and sites big enough for 40 footers.
