I am wondering if boxing in the pipes is an option? Rerouting is a big job and ultimately, they are still exposed. I am big fan of KISS tho. And really, your pipes aren't 'full' so, a little freezing won't break anything. One of the areas to be concerned with would be where fluid collects. Low points, etc. Gary Haupt
Boxing might work? I have 2 50 gallon tanks and the feed lines come off the center bottom of each tank then run along the bottom of the tank to a Y were they form 1 feed line into the trailer. As for moving the lines I wouldn't even know were to start unless I was able to come down through the trailer floor into the top of each tank? All the rest of my lines seem to be inside of the trailer.
I am useless at fabricating anything. I have big ideas and then it gets ugly. I was just wondering if boxing them in and foam piping would be an easy thing to do. Just like wrapping an outside water faucet. Keeps it from freezing.
Are the waste lines and valves exposed too? Those valves trap water and if THAT freezes and breaks, a serious case of an ugly job. Yes, anti-freeze will keep them clear..so, don't be shy about how much you throw down into the tanks. When I am out in those temps, I will do a flash move on the valves, to get some of the anti-freeze laden water into the valve housing and blade guides.
