Have fun,

Ok I didn't even think about trailer chains. Might make for a fun ride off the mountain in packed snow and ice with the truck all chained up and the trailer bobsledding around behind me. Good tip.
So do you just run a set on 2 tires or chain up all 4 trailer tires? I assume I have brakes on each axle but will have to check and confirm.
Here in Oregon, we only need to chain up one axle (two tires total). It doesn't matter which one. I don't know what the law is in Utah.
Thanks for the link to Ray Jardine's site. We knew each other many years ago and it's great to see what he has been up to in the meantime. However, there is no need for a down quilt or sleeping bag (I use them for backpacking and winter mountaineering but not in my trailer). Just setup the trailer so you can camp in whatever weather you want and you will be fine with normal bedding. Remember, if you have any water (this includes food items) in there at all, you will need to protect it from freezing. So keeping you warm is just a side benefit. And, if you go to S. Utah / N. Arizona (as recommended by profdant139) then you will have a much extended camping season without taking extreme measures with your trailer. Remember, the lower the elevation, the warmer it will be.
