We like Stony Fork a lot, nice place, but didn't think too much of Raccoon Branch, definitely have Grindstone on the list.
There's a few nice National Forest Campgrounds in the area. One is Stony Fork, another is Raccoon Branch and the 3rd is Grindstone. All have electric hookups, one of them has water and electric. They are part of the Mt Rogers Recreation area.
