Charles - KatdaddyExplorer IIThanks for your help. I have been camping in the Cove for years and have never given the height of that tunnel a second thought. My BIL is planning to camp there this fall and asked me about it. I looked and didn't find anything. I told him I would ask here because somebody here always knows the answer. Love this place.
- DrewEExplorer IIAccording to this rather lengthy report the tunnel is 17' high. I don't know if that's measured to the center of the arch or at the edge on the fog line, though I'd suspect the former. It shouldn't prevent any RV from being able to travel the road easily.
The Cades Cove loop itself, while not impossible for an RV, is not something I would do again with my motorhome! But it's a lovely and interesting tour. You of course don't need to go through the loop to camp at the campground there. - BusdriverExplorer IIAll I know is there is a campground at Cade’s cove
