Most KOA's are mom n pop operations. A franchise. The owners are usually *****y and cheap! Lazydays is going to be operated by KOA Corporate. Tucson is not exactly a family destination. Most of the parks are Adult only. Apparently KOA plans on spending a lot of money to change the park. More amenities and you can be sure much higher prices. In the many years we have stayed @ this park under both ownerships I rarely saw families. Lost of Snowbirds who spend a few days on their way south. Some boomers and people visiting Tucson and family. Very popular for Rallies. Tucson is our US " home" when we cross from Mexico to do some shopping. Lazydays/Beaudry's has always been a great spot for 2 to 4 days. You wont find the great staff of Lazydays at any KOA. I think the whole Tucson operation has not done well. I haven't been to their Florida location since the industry went to hell in 08 but I do not see very many new high end MH's at the Tucson Location. They keep changing brands. Lots of toy trailers and Class B's. Camping World moved off the site as they wanted to sell units. This of course was not allowed by Lazydays! I feel sorry for the office staff. Some of them are long time employees and KOA will bring in workampers who will work for nothing and a free site. BTW: I never stated that I hate kids.
