It seems like more people are leaving their RV in the place they winter instead of hauling it back and forth. We are Canadians that just bought a 38 ft 5th wheel in CA. and will be leaving it in our favourite spot in AZ. The dealer is delivering to our site and we have a storage facility that will pick it up after our stay and store it for $50.00 per month for the summer. This eliminates owning a big truck to haul our unit and we don't have to haul it home after the winter. It's best for people who don't use their RV at home like us, due to having a summer cottage. We have a minimum of money tied up in our used rig and have already done all the travelling we want over the last 15 years. It's not for everyone but may be worth considering.
You have a Summer Cottage. Why not have a Winter cottage also. Instead of buying a RV to leave so far away, and ruin from lack of use. Buy a Condo, or small house. I would think that would be less expensive in the long run.
