Over the last few years we have met folks with horror stories about what they discovered when they returned to their rigs in FL. Everything from cockroach infestations, to the much more typical mold all over the interior. One place we stay at has a very inexpensive storage set-up where your unit stays on your site for the summer, and remains plugged in. This allows the AC to run, and keeps the interior humidity under control. Without security, somebody inside the rig doing a visual inspection every few weeks, and the AC, or a dehumidifier running, there is no way my motorhome is going to be abandoned in FL. for seven months of the year.
