Why go through all the trouble and anxiety storing the RV or trailer outside in the potentally catastrophic Florida climate, when you can store in a fully enclosed high and dry building storage, with air exchange system.
Our insurance co is Perfectly fine with us storing our rig in Florida for 4, 5, 6 months starting next year, as we commute back and forth to/from Canada/Florida as long as it is inside a professional storage facility, and we supply our insurance with location data.
I just cant see leaving an expensive rig out in the open for months unattended in a climate like Florida, whilst owner is 2000 + miles away in another country hoping that it won,t be wiped out by torrential rain events, tornado, or any other myriad weather-related calamities. We store our rig in a full climate controlled facility over our equally hellacious winters so it wont be destroyed, so why not take equal precautions in the hellacious tropical conditions of Florida ??!!
