I see now that the 8840 IRS form is very important.
Just received the latest copy of RV West mag. and they have an article on crossing the border and length of stay. It says that every single time you cross the border for only a few hours, it counts as a full day. We are close to the border and go into the US often to go shopping, get gas and pick things up at our US mailbox (for internet purchases). That could add up to a lot of days and would go towards the total count of allowable days. We're going to start keeping a log.
It would be great if Congress allows us to be able to stay 240 days, but I imagine it could take many years before it happens, if it does at all.
If our dollar stays as low as it is now for any length of time, our visits to the US could less though.... :(
