The Alameda fairgrounds in Pleasanton is your best bet since it is a opposite commute and fairly close. It is just a big gravel parking lot and the spaces are fairly close. However, many people are staying there for the same reason...to work in the area or just passing through so it is quIet, cheap and convenient. Livermore is a congested commute area due to all of the business offices in the area. My office (two hours away from where I live) used to be in Livermore and I stayed there many times when I was on the way out of town and had the RV. There are lots of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. within a quarter mile. The other place is Kit Fox RV park in Patterson but it is a longer drive with a longer commute (trust me on this one) as I have done that drive as well.
