It's a ways away, but Utah Lake SP or the KOA in Springville may help. They are both in the Provo area, southeast of Herriman. Probably farther away than the SLC KOA (which is our go-to place in the area) and definitely farther than the CG in Draper. Both have hookups (the SP doesn't have FHUs but you are apparently needing only electric.)
Almost true, but there are a few others, farther out. In Davis County, just north of SLC, there are a CG at Lagoon (the amusement park) and Cherry Hill CG (which may still be operating) in Kaysville. Brigham City has a half-decent KOA and another private RV park of similar quality. There are a few SPs in the mountains, and at the north end of the lake on Willard Bay, as well as a no-hookups one on Antelope Island.
It's kind of surprising to me that in a area of about 1.5 million people, there are only the three parks.
