Looking for a good place around Pensacola area? Ideas?

My wife and I are trying to figure out where we want to take our “new to us” travel trailer on our first trip. We’re in southern Missouri, and we’re wanting to head towards the ocean…..maybe straight...

You can walk to the beach at Fort Pickens, especially from Loop A. There is a boardwalk across the sand dunes.

It is a great place to stay, but be aware that it is down a 9 mile road (and back out again the same way.) So it is not so good for those who want to go and come.

Gulf State Park in Alabama is another good choice, though I do not think you can walk to the beach from the campground.
