Looking for "a halfway spot" Coeur D'Alene to Bend

The drive from Coeur D'Alene to Bend is not bad but we would like to try to find d a decent RV Park about halfway in between. We are not interested at all in the Kennewick area. Maybe something in the Boardman area.
For the same reason we will not try the trip home from Bend. We will now layover at either Hawks Nest, where we have never visited, or The Likely Place, that we love...
Thank you.

  • And I just found Boardman Marina RV Park. It has a good rating.
Looks like we have a few choices, which is good...
  • Plymouth COE Park, Boardman City Park. Both have full h/ups, trees & shade!! Near the tracks, but most of the Gorge is that way. LePage COE is good too.

As mentioned above, Crow Butte is good if you want to go on the WA side on 14. Also full hookups.
  • There is a nice state park just west of John Day. From there its an easy drive on 26 to Prineville where you can head south on 97 a short 18 miles.
  • Crow Butte Park.

Or Tri-Cities. Richland, Pasco and Burbank also have options vs. Kennewick. Look at Hood Park on the Snake River.

  • The Rufus area is pretty nice for boondocking. Lotta room right on the Columbia.

Le Page Park, Wasco, OR 97065 might be nice. They might have hookups.

Does it have to be an RV park?

I guess it would not need to be. We could always carry some water in our fresh water tank and run the fridge on propane... Would be nice if it were, but.....
