Looking for Virginia campground suggestions
Looking for a Virginia CG to visit over a long weekend.Hopefully within a 3 hour drive from Raleigh. Full hookup required. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on what you are looking for - scenery or sights to visit. American Heritage in Williamsburg, VA has full hookups, paved level sites, a large swimming pool, and is in the middle of the Colonial Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown/Busch Gardens area. Not much for scenery though.
If you want a campground in the middle of the woods in the mountains,the KOA Charlottesville has full hookups, a hiking trail, and a pool. It is a lot more rustic (as is the area).
