Ft Collins is a pretty nice town to visit when you are up there.

X4 for Riverview. Great location and nice sized sites.

About the only RV Park in Loveland is the Loveland RV Park

I HIGHLY recommend Riverview RV Park (and I lived in Estes for 8 years).

Stayed at Riverview RV for 5 nights. If you have Passport America it is quite the bargain! Backed right up to the Big Thompson River for about $20.00 bucks a night.

Boyd Lake, Carter Lake, and Horsetooth Res are all good options. Horsetooth has some full hook up sites.

You will be fine mid week at all 3. Friday - Sunday are probably already booked.

Stayed in Loveland for what was to be 3 nights but left after 2. Wifi was non existent unless I sat in the office (consultant). Spots were toooooo tight. The Grands liked the playground and the dogs liked the long walks thru all the permanent trailers there.

Yes. There are nearly a dozen places to stay in the area, including the ones you mentioned at Carter Lake, as well as at Horsetooth Reservoir outside Ft Collins.

Since your arriving mid-week, you likely won't have problems finding a place to stay. I would highly recommend Boyd Lake State Park (which is practically in my back yard!)on the east side of Loveland or Riverview RV Resort west of Loveland on US 34 heading to Estes Park. There's also the Carter Valley Campground just off US 34 in the same area as Riverview. These 3 represent the best of what's in the area. Boyd Lake has electric only, Riverview and Carter Valley have FHU.

All the other commercial campgrounds in the area have seen better days, and most at this time of year are close to fully booked with long term visitors. There may be some space available for a single overnight in mid-week.
