Does anyone have a good map of this campground? The one on their website only has the bottom sites near the office. On that map, it looks like the pull through sites need to make a reverse corner to exit the pull through??? Hubby is concerned that the pull throughs parallel to the road are not long enough for us to hitch up our fifth. We have a pull-rite & need to be pretty straight to hitch & unhitch. The campground gets good reviews, but I am hoping for someone who has been there after KOA took over. If anyone does happen to have a campground map, I would appreciate a scan. Thanks!

I looked at it in Google earth and it does seem to have a very sharp reverse turn to exit the pull thru's.

The arrows on the map are pretty much for just pulling in. If you were pulling out, it wouldn't be a problem to pull out in the direction with the greatest angle. We were there last summer and my rig isn't very big, but it's still 46', give or take of few inches, and were in site 47 or 48. When we pulled out, we just went to the right and exited without a problem. It's a very nicely maintained and quiet campground, but we were there in the fall when it wasn't crowded. There were quite a few big rigs there, and they didn't seem to have any problems navigating the roads.

The pull thru sites 46-51 are really long. We usually get pull thrus, but I inadvertently booked a back in at Luray. Site was number 102 and was about 120 feet deep and was the best campsite we have stayed in ever in about 150 campgrounds.

Closed during winter - mid Nov. through mid March.

Are they year round, or what is their season?

Want to go there this year to visit the caverns and such in the area.

If they are open in the winter, wouldn't mind stopping by to look around in a few weeks as we drive through the area to visit family.

I have stayed there many times in the past. You will be able to get out. I can get my 42 foot coach with jeep attached out with no issues.

We have stayed there in the upper section with pull thru in our 36 foot fifth wheel and had no problems at all parking or leaving. Great place, wonderful mountain views and great people. You should not have any problems at all.

You did not say how long your 5th wheel is.
We camp there two/three times a year - 32' 5th wheel - PullRite hitch.
We have camped on sites 43, 49, 50, 23, 24, 92, 93, with no problems.
One of the best run KOA's in the area. Still family owned.

We were there in Site 48 in Sept. Big site, level and plenty of room. No problems exiting , just turn right and go around the campground. Great folks, clean bathrooms and lots to do in the area. Check out Dan's Steak House on 611W
