I could care less if the officers were Homeland Security, Secret Service, or the local constabulary. You still have rights in this country and you should demand that law enforcement officers respect your constitutional rights. If you have a smartphone, make sure the audio record function is activated before you respond to any "request" for information from law enforcement. NEVER consent to a search of your vehicle. If the law enforcement officers have a reasonable suspicion that you have contraband in your vehicle, insist they get a warrant. As for not identifying yourself, there are some jurisdictions where you are required to show your identification to law enforcement on demand. So if the LEO wants to see my ID, I show it. But remember that law enforcement is legally allowed to lie or trick you into incriminating yourself, and they are not necessarily your friend when you are detained. The best course of action is to say nothing other than providing your ID upon demand.
