You might want to rethink camping on the island, ferry rates for one vehicle and one person is about $50 for a round trip. The island has a small museum and the beach, it takes about 2 hours to drive the perimeter. Most folks camp on the main land, day trip to the island, as the museum is easy walking from the ferry dock. You can rent kayaks, take a boat tour of the islands, visit some of the area orchards, rent a sail boat, visit the casino. Its a beautiful area, but not a highly developed amenities area. It is geared more to the water sports, such as kayaking and sailing. Come and visit, you will fall in love with the peace.
