TT including hitch and bumper is 34ft. Without making the call yet, I assume that the ferry to the island can handle a TT that size since they say they handle semi's.
Does anyone know if the CG can handle TTs that size? And exactly how nice is the area? Is it worth a 9 hr drive?

It's been many years since I was last in that area, but some things are likely not to change....Flies. And Mosquitos. They were about as fierce as it gets there on the island. The island itself is very nice. It's flat, and easy to get around. And yes, the ferry (at least back in the day) could handle large rigs -- we saw several motorhomes there, along with large trailers.
There's some alternatives if you so desire. There are campgrounds in the Bayfield and Washburn area.
