Maine Boondocking

Hi, I live in Midcoast Maine in Brooks about 10 miles from the ocean. I have 5 1/2 acres if anyone moving through wishes to boondock on my property for 1-2 days. I work M-F but usually camp on the hundreds of boondocking sites in northern/eastern Maine every other weekend(free). I enjoy mountain biking the logging roads/ATV trails and could give inside information on great locations to camp(truck camper/small trailer trailer at most). I'm looking foward to traveling myself in retirement some day but see no sites that offer "private" property bookdocking sites while traveling. Sites here are expensive so I wish to just meet fellow people who have my dream and learn more about their experiences. Steve
  • Yeah, i am looking for the large loops. I like putting the miles on, thank you though.
  • You could e-mail me here if seriosly interested. There are some "normal" decent 20-30 mile ATV trails close here on the coast but the hundreds of miles of uninterupted ATV trails start about 1 hr 30 min away.
  • I've heard great things about ATVing up there. Are you located close to the trails?
  • very nice offer, Steve!

might just have to look you up if we do a little northern loop this summer...tnx!
  • Great idea. I've been in all the 48 except for Maine. I'd love to send a night or two on your property, but hauling the rig that far, I'd have to get a job at WM just to pay for the fuel! But we've got five acres with nothing on them but views. Well, maybe a few deer too. If you can still breathe at 9000', you're welcome.
  • Welcome to the forums! :)

  • That's very generous of you Steve. If I had the land, I think I'd offer it too. Well wishes to you.
