Maybe not a place to visit this month or even next.

We were camped near a tree in the Hell's Canyon Dam area....and we were invaded by a bug called "true bug". Let me tell you, I've never seen anything like it. We had to bomb our rig!!! The home extension people in Baker City said they've had the mildest weather this last winter in many many years....and there were more bugs. Yip -- I agree. 27 yrs of camping over there and have NEVER seen anything like this!

We stopped at a rest stop in Utah in our converted van and were settling in for the evening, we had the doors opened as it was very hot and we had no air conditioning.
We were invaded by swarms of little gnats. It was horrible!!!
The rest area emptied out in just minutes and we all headed on down the road.
