MB-HH-Charleston & Savanah

OK.. have amended trip to fewer places and longer stays. current list
Myrtle Beach - same place I've stayed for 36 years
Charleston SC - Oak Plantation
Hilton Head SC - Harbor RV & Marina
Savanah GA - Red Gate then move to Skidway Island for a couple of days.

Reccomendations for better parks? Anyplaces in these areas that should not be missed, or should skip over?

    Did you look into James Island County Park just outside of Charleston? They actually have a shuttle to downtown and FHUs.

    I would stay at Willow Tree in N Myrtle Beach, Oak Plantation in Charleston, the HHI Motorcoach Resort in Hiltonhead and Skidaway Island in Savanna.

    Looked at James Island & Oak Plantation- reviews were about the same. Was leaning toward Oak only because of proximity to historic area. Did not see anything about a shuttle.

    Have stayed at the Travel park since 1977, won't change now & HHI Motorcoach resort won't let me in. (5'ver)

    After enjoying what the park has to offer, guests can visit other areas of Charleston by hopping on our round-trip shuttle service to the downtown Convention & Visitor Bureau and Folly Beach Fishing Pier for only $10 per person."

    Oak is closer to the plantations on 61. James Island is closer to Downtown.

    This is why I love this forum. Scales just tilted to James Island. $10 shuttle is worth not having to drive the BAT mobile thru the downtown area.

    BAT Mobile is the compromise my wife allowed me after she said no to the personalized plates. BG AS TK

    Hunting Island state park if you can get in, outside of Beaufort. Before we moved here we loved staying there, now we live nearby so we just go for the day.

    WE like Cypress Woods in MB
    Oak Plantation in Charleston,SC....because the trees aren't worth trying to get to James County
    Hardeeville-Thomas for Savannah....easier ride into downtown
    Go to the Tattooed Moose and/or the Ice House in Charleston
    and Mrs Wilkes in savannah
    Chuck
