Medical questions for retired military on Tri-Care

We are looking for information from any retired military RVer's who relocate to Florida for the winter months. We are hoping to become snowbirds in the next couple of years and are wondering how to use our Tri-Care benefits for prescriptions that will need to be refilled while we are away from our home base. Thanks

I believe you can transfer your region and PCP twice a year. Find a PC provider in Fl. then transfer your services to Fl, then back to your PC when you return home.
  • Now just need to find a location for my wife to have her bi-monthly RA infusion.
  • Switch to home delivery (Express Scripts) have them forward by the P.O. to a mail service like the (Escapees) then get them forwarded to where your at when needed. If your somewhere for awhile, Express Scripts will forward directly to you as well with a simple phone call.
  • That link above pretty much covers it. Another thing you can do is take your prescriptions to an on base hospital and get them refilled there if you are around a base.
