Medicare...maybe we should have stayed home

Yes, the suppliment plans are better than the Advantage plans. Actually the Advantage planes are MEDICARE PART C, where With A & B you still need a supplment plan. Problem we had is that suppliment plans increase in price every year, they start out not too bad, but start getting a lot higher after a few years. The advantage plans price is a lot better, in many cases no premium at all. but it is always a big question whether they will be available at all the next year. And some deductables are getting a lot higher, along will less coverage. Those of us that have been in for years are hoping that our costs are goint to stay reasonable, but those coming in now or in a few years are going to face a real challenge. Remember that our government has borrowed and used all the money we paid in for Medicare and SS, and now are trying to divest the government of the expense, AT WHATEVER COST to the participants. SS and Medcare are not entitlements, they are a benefit we paif for.
