Anyone have any experience with claims with this company. Joined Canadian Snowbird Association recently and this is the company that they recommended. Got a quote from them giving them exactly the same information that I gave my previous supplier. I know that one must be very careful with medical questions and giving accurate information and I have spoken to three reps from Medipac and all have given me the same quote.I did have a claim with my previous supplier in 2014 and so the previous supplier considers this for a three year period however Medipac does not and this makes a difference of approximately $1000.00in rates. Hi,Last year I got my coverage from CAA. They said that if I answered the form to the best of my knowledge but there was an error, that I would still have coverage.

Have used Medipac for 2 of my 9 years fulltiming. Had a claim with Medipac 3-4 years ago and it was trouble free. I always go with the cheapest. No problem with Medipac.

Don't believe what sales agents tell you. If you have a claim they will investigate to try to find a reason not to pay your claim. Disclose every detail of your medical condition or don't bother buying insurance at all. You won't be covered if you withhold information either deliberately or unintentionally.Medipac does ask specific questions that you have to answer yes or no. You should not miss anything if you answer the questions properly.

My doctor told me DO NOT FILL OUT A QUESTIONNAIRE. He said bring it to him and he will make sure questions are answered correctly while referring to my records. Some times the terminology is not easy to understand. Make an honest mistake and you could have to sell your house to pay the bills.

I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia and a 4 hour visit with tests cost $7000.00 Insurance paid the bill.

Yep. Insurance companies will put a lot of time and money into investigating every claim to determine if the condition was pre-existing.

Don't assume you are 100% covered. It could ruin you financially!!

We have Medipac insurance. Two seasons ago I arranged our insurance then I had enough trouble with my shoulder that I got a cortisone shot. Being a paranoid person, I phoned them and told them. They sent me a letter saying that they would not cover any shoulder problems that year, but otherwise our coverage was intact.

I asked what would have happened if I hadn't declared the shoulder problem and I had some other kind of issue. They were a bit coy, but left me with the impression that I would not have been covered because of an omission on the application.

We have Medipac again for this winter.

All need to know and understand what is under "pre-existing conditions". They will go out of their way to prove it was pre-existing.

I do not need travel insurance, my wife has covereg through work still, but when I do I intend to go to my doctor and ask for a copy of my medical records to make sure I do not miss anything they could find. I spent 3 days in hospital in Mazatlan last year (nice place), my BC medical covered the cost of that which was under $800.

Medipac is now underwritten by Old Republic Life of Canada. No longer Manual Life. Don't know if that will change anything. The questionnaire appears to be the same. We used their services several years ago and the whole experience was very positive.
