If a pup is okay, but not good for roadside overnights, how about a hybrid. You can get them that are not much larger than a pup, but then they expand out and you have lots and lots of room, you can open all the windows/sides and have expansive views. It's not as much of a commitment $$ wise as a MH and can easily be towed by your G Cherokee (probably, but check the weights). A TT is going to be limited in size by your tow vehicle.
