Miami Everglades Campground/Resort

We are considering this park for the month of March/16. We have never stayed in this area before. Any info , good or bad? No two legged kids, just our lab Shadow. Thxs in advance.
  • Nice clean place in middle of nowhere. Just fields all around. Kinda expensive. It has all the amenities. Sites are packed close together tho. If a long stay, they put u on a meter and you pay u'r own electric extra.
  • We stayed there for a few days several winters ago. Nice place. No complaints at all.
  • Was just here for the Orange Bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of amenities/activities. Quiet park and quiet surroundings in a predominantly commercial nursery area. We were able to get to the Keys and Everglades with ease from here. Definitely will go back if we revisit that area.

It's just a little ways of Krome Ave ( Fl 997) in the midst of plant nurseries so it's pretty quiet. It used to be a KOA. It's well kept/clean.
  • We used to stay there for a week at a time on our way to the Keys, and liked it very much.
It is a great jumping off spot for the southern Everglades.

Just make sure they don't put you across from the dump station

  • We stayed there 3 years ago. Planned to stay 3 night, but extended our stay because we liked it. Snowbirds were great there. Nice pool and they had a volley ball game everyday.
  • The nicest private park in the area. Just sold this last year to new owners so not sure if anything significant has changed. Th eonly real competition in the area is Larry and Penny Park but that one tends to be filled up early and often Other options
