I know this is an older thread, but I camp at RA every year and have been doing so for nearly a decade; I am a huge ALMS fan. It is a great track to camp at as there is plenty of room and all different types of people who come. My group has made tons of new friends over the years and I strongly suggest that you check it out.
I saw your setup at the Grand Am/ALMS weekend. Whenever I went by, there was nobody around. Road America is absolutely a fantastic track to camp at. 50th Anniversary SCCA Runoffs are coming in September. It will be the last time for awhile as they move back to Road Atlanta next year.
RunoffsThe Grand Am/ALMS weekend was simply amazing. Huge crowd. The area we camp in was almost 100% full (it's usually about 1/3) yet everyone was well behaved and very quiet at night. Knowing the screaming cars will wake you up by 8am gets most folks to sleep early.
