Military Campgrounds current base sticker policy?

Our windshield stickers for both the CRV and the MH expire next year. I've heard that the Air Force only requires an ID card (DD Form 2 retired) now. The DW has her DEERS card available also. It's a 1...

My understanding is DOD has made stickers optional, local command can decide to keep the requirement.

I would recommend a phone call to the base in question if you have any real concerns,

Regionally (PNWet) a valid ID and proof of insurance is required for visitors/retirees/etc.

Employees/Personal stationed have to verify insurance at periodic intervals.
