Military Campgrounds current base sticker policy?

Our windshield stickers for both the CRV and the MH expire next year. I've heard that the Air Force only requires an ID card (DD Form 2 retired) now. The DW has her DEERS card available also. It's a 1...

When did they start doing that again? 18 months ago they said they were no longer issuing the decals because they were no longer required.
