Military Campgrounds current base sticker policy?

Our windshield stickers for both the CRV and the MH expire next year. I've heard that the Air Force only requires an ID card (DD Form 2 retired) now. The DW has her DEERS card available also. It's a 1...

The AF and Army stopped requiring stickers a few years ago. In either June or July this year the Navy and Marines stopped the stickers. We are currently on Seal Beach Naval Weapons in CA and asked at the gate about stickers, they are no longer issuing them. 100% ID check.
