Missing the Dishwasher

Same as some of the other guys. Wife cooks, I do the dishes. I cook she does the dishes. Works for us.

I just installed a Vesta in the MH. We can hand wash for a couple of weeks. Now that we snowbird, the dishes just never seem to come clean enough.

We we don't have an oven below the cooktop, we sacrificed the pots and pans cabinet underneath. Made us rearrange some stuff. Just did a leak test using some dirty dishes from the house. Worked great. Required some woodworking skills, electrical work and plumbing. I'm better than a hack but not a craftsman. Not brain damage.

Best price was on Amazon. Beat CW's best Internet price by $100.

My lovely married the dishwasher.
She is such a fantastic cook I gladly do the dishes.
The nights I cook/grill she does the dishes.
Oh and by the way I hate paper plates.

We use paper plates and paper bowls (not Styrofoam) and only have to wash cups and silverware. We cook a lot in the microwave or on the grill and don't have many pots and pans to wash. Saves water, saves room in grey tank, saves arguments about who is going to do the dishes!

GO to Lowes or Home Depot, and check out the single drawer Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer. That is what is in my Bounder, it fit just below the sink, and I only had to make a few modifications. It is the standard 24" wide, but only about 19" tall. I put a shelf on top of the dishdrawer, then had a opening about 24" X 9" to cover. My right hand door for my sink undercounter area fit just right.

You can "Lock" this brand dishwasher, then shut off power to it, and it will not slide open while driving.

It is a option in Bluebird motorhomes, that is where I got the idea.

We've full-timed for 16 years without a dishwasher and we cook just like in our previous home. Dishes for 2 are minimal. Plus, it's good therapy. :)

I solved my lack of dishwasher problem last winter.......made dh do the dishes :) :) He fell for the "I cooked, you do dishes" plan I had in mind. BWAHAHAHAHA

I see no reason why it wouldn't work. They also make countertop dishwashers if I remember right...
