Mississippi gulf coast

I have a lot on the Mississippi gulf coast and I am considering adding rv hookups to it. Is there any desire for a person snow birding to have there own lot or do they want to be In a rv park? It would be designed for a single rv.
  • Is it on Hwy 90?; I have looked into renting some vacant property for several of us to use for Crusin the Coast, but too many obsticals with county ordanances, and Ms. power, plus sewer.
  • It is a few blocks off the beach. I figured there may be some hurdles to jump but before I jumped off into I wondered if there any need for it.
  • I think I would miss the interaction you get from being in a park.

Only reason we got into RV'ing for snow birding was because of a 20 plus year old cat. I couldn't find anyone to take the cat local, couldn't really find a place south to rent that accepted pets, and I just didn't have the heart to put him down. So we bought a class A and off we went. Cat howled for 45 minutes non stop, then he stopped, looked around, and was the best traveling companion ever.

Five years later he passed away having lived a grand life. At that point I decided to rent a nice 2 bedroom, master bath, dish washer, cloths washer/dryer, one block off the beach, full kitchen condo all for $800 a month. DW looked at me and said she would feel like she was in prison. She had learned to love the interaction that we found in all of the parks that we snow birded in. You know what, she was right.
  • On the other hand, I like to stay away from the RV parks where you are jammed up against each other so I feel that you could find someone who would want to rent it. We enjoy it much more out by ourselves without worrying about what our neighbors think about what we are doing. Course, we like the desert also.
  • If we were headed toward the MS Gulf Coast, a private lot with one or two full hookup sites would be very attractive to us.

As it is, we're looking for a similar situation in/around Yuma, AZ.
  • Brandon327..where is this located on the Gulf? And what is the average temperature in January/February? We will be first time snowbirds and are considering the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We have visited there twice, both times in Feb., once before Katrina and once after. Is it rebuilt?
  • I am really not sure whatbis rebuilt in the area. we got got the lot after Katrina and we haven't been down there since. Not sure on the temp as we live about 2.5 hours north of there.
  • Where is the lot? My wife and I would be very interested. We frequent Gulfport/Biloxi area.
  • Advertising is not permitted on RV.NET, If this becomes a thread to rent the lot it will have to be closed or deleted. THANK You Ron
