Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis has a full hook up campground. Bay St. Louis is a little out of the way, though.

Apparently, things have changed, but when we were there hoteling it, the gambling floors of the casino/hotels were actually on barges separate from the hotels. There was a wide ramp up to the gambling floor where we stayed. We only noticed it because the ramp's elevation changed a couple of times during the day due to the tides. My map shows some casinos well away from the Gulf now.

We stayed here last April and it is a nice park just across the road from the beach. As Kit said it is very convenient to shops, restaurants, etc.

Gulf Haven Campground in Gulfport is on Hwy 90 right across the 4 lane road from the beach. Shuttle to Island View Casino (our favorite). Exit on Hwy 49 at Gulfport, head south to US90, turn right.

Cajun RV Park is on Hwy 90 in Biloxi. Nice park and right in the middle of anything you might want to do in Biloxi.

I agree about the RV park at the Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis and also Majestic Oaks in Biloxi. We have stayed at both and liked--we also have a dog.

Bay St Louis has a lot of old buildings and neat shops if you are interested in that.

It's true that casinos line the highway from Gulfport to Biloxi. You might check them for entertainment--sometimes the shows are really good and feature headliners.

In my opinion, the Beau Rivage has the best buffet and especially their Sunday brunch.

Much of Biloxi was destroyed by Katrina and that is so sad, because there were so many nice restaurants and things to do along the beach. The Biloxi Lighthouse is still there...and along the beach highway, please notice the carvings in the medians. When the trees were destroyed by Katrina, local artists made carvings of the remaining trunks--they are very pretty.

You can go on a shrimp boat and see how shrimping is done or take a boat to nearby Ship Island (I believe that leaves from Gulfport).

Just east of Biloxi and over a long bridge is the town of Ocean Springs. It has some nice restaurants and shops and the Walter Anderson Museum. He was a local artist and his watercolors are beautiful.
