Once I found out that almost all towns have a fairgrounds AND they have CG sites open to the public.....I now seek them out first before looking for a regular CG.
P.s. The ones that don't have sewer hookup? Just drive by the cattle/horse barns on your way out. There is always several sewer dump stations by the barns. - HuntindogExplorer

Yes we did for 1 night 2 or 3 years ago in the summer. I don't remember details but I think it was just a basic site, probably on grass with elec and water. I don't recall thinking it was awful but just a place to park for a night.
