- n7bsnExplorerWe were at Gouldings in Oct and ended up in the parking lot.... I would say yes.
I don't know where the Tribal RV park is, but it was due to be open last spring, and still wasn't last fall. Maybe it is now - caysea7254Explorern7bsn, we are planning on just one day and night. Is this enough time? Thanks Tara
- Two_HandsExplorerWe were glad we had reservations there. We spent two full days.
- bob213ExplorerTribal RV park has reopened. Best views you can get. To answer your question...I would recommend reservations.
- MWJonesExplorerTara,
The Tribal Park is on the East side of Hwy 163 on Monument Vally Rd.
It is right by the Vistor Center and Musem and the entrance to the Loop thru the Navajo Monument Vally.
The West side of Hwy 163 is Goulding CG/Motel,etc.(comercial). They do have rides thru the monuments on that side. - bee_46ExplorerWe stayed in Gouldings in August last summer and got a site without reservations, but we are only 20 ft long. We also took the tour through the park through them. We started to drive the park ourselves but decided the road to too bad for our vehicle. The only places we made reservations for on our trip last August was Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. Other than that we just got a campground when we stopped for the night. We never had a problem finding a spot to stay.
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIIn June it will be hot and you might not be happy w/o power for the AC. So make a reservation.
- any_rd_but_mainExplorerI live about 150 miles from Monument Valley and it will be hot and in the Tribal Park it is a sand lot like it all is out here. Gouldings is in a red rock canyon setting with trees is very nice there is a grocery store just down the road and gas station car wash all in one spot And yes I would make reservations for sure, you are miles from anywhere else as you will see. Now Moab there are several RV parks but there again you never know whats going on in Moab at anytime gccit is a busy place and its about 200 miles away. Just come on out to our back yard and have fun.
- dkreuzenExplorerThere is no reason not to make a reservation. It's better for everybody.
