Must be an early winter this year.

The Snowbirds are swooping already. Took a ride yesterday and the interstates are already filling up with early with Snowbirds!

I just couldn't pass up on all the great foreclosure deals down here and finally took the plunge and bought one for the winter months.

So I've got you all beat this year! Come on down the weather's fine!:B

Snow levels were down to about 8,000 feet. We are at 4,400' so just rain but another storm coming this week and they are saying snow levels down to 5,000'.

  • My neighbor told me it was going to be an early and hard Winter here in the Salt Lake area. He based this on the size of the acorns, says big ones mean cold winter coming. Tonight we'll have snow at the 6500' level. Already see some on the eastern mountains. Hope it holds off until Oct 26 for the Valley, then we're gone.
  • Up near the north border we still have a loon on the lake, and no geese to speak of flying overhead. The hummingbirds are gone already and the ferns have all died back.

I'm hoping for a nice long fall given the wet/cold spring and summer we had. Nature has a way of balancing things out.
