My campsite map now has almost 580 sites!

I travel about 6 months a year in my truck camper. Last spring I posted about a map I made for all my campsites for 9 years of ramblin' - 540 of them. Since then I've finished another 6 months of ramblin' and visited many new sites. My map is now up to almost 580 sites! Most are government campgrounds. (i.e. non-commercial). There are about 40 boondocking spots, too.

This year I added GPS coordinates to the campground comments. This makes it easy to "cut & paste" from my map to Google maps for directions to the site.

If you find any problems with the map or have suggestions for changes, please let me know.

You can view the map here. If you live in the West, you've probably been in at least one of them. :)

Thanks for the MAP VIEW... Brought back many memories of my late 60s and early 70s TENT camping JEEP TRAILS days when living in TEMPE AZ back then...

Loved the OAK CREEK canyons and RED ROCKs around Sedona. We loved our tent JEEP trails up and down the Apache Trail...

We pretty much covered all the high country OFF-TRAIL areas between FlagStaff and Phoenix haha...

  • Thank you for all the work you put into your website and your map. I like those same sorts of campsites and really appreciate the new ideas you have provided.
  • Nice. I was just checking it out second random click and Jalama state beach came up, my kids love that place we go every year. Very cool to put up all that info and keep track. Its cool how you have a google esrth map and can click on the lil tabs and gives info about the CG.
