You're right! Completely forgot about MB State Park. It's a gooder as well. According to the original poster's reply though, it looks like they'll be in northern MB and will stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park (see below)

I'm a little different. We usually stay at Apache, down on the beach where we can see the pier and surf. We visit in October or November when the crowds are gone. The pier is great for strolling and fishing. Apache is kind of dumpy but the location is great with all the restaurants, Walmart, outlet mall, Pro Bass Shop and Barefoot Landing. All of these are with in a mile.

Myrtle Beach Travel park is next door to Apache. MBTP is nicer than Apache but they have high dunes between the campground and the beach so you can't see the ocean.

Given those facts, the. MBTP would probably be your best bet.

Forgot to mention about Huntington State Park: Register asap. State Parks are very popular. It does offer shade for those occasionally hot Aprils they get. Do take bug spray just in case of a hot month and the bugs come out early.

Before we get into a war of which campground we all choose, why not tell us more about what you want out of a campground, what you don't want out of a campground, and what you want to be near if anything or even if its necessary. What do you plan on doing while there? Do you want quiet? Do you want a more energetic vibe? Do you want a concrete pad or are you ok on dirt? Do you want a place that has golf carts or allows them? What amenities do you want at the campground? What activities do you plan on doing if any? Do you plan on going out to eat? Are you budget conscious on restaurants?
