Nat park closed, where to go

We were going to GSM to see the color change in two weeks. And a side trip to Cades Cove. Hwy 441 is still open to go over the mountain, but. Would like to see more. So DW and I were talking about NW Ark instead, where is some nice areas to do to see some good color change. Thanks in advance.

    The drive between Hot Springs and Mt Magazine should be very nice. We go to Arkansas every year during the last week of October. If you can get a site close to Hot Springs, that makes a very good place to base camp and lots of potential for day trips to the other AR State Parks, all of which are pristine.
