National Park and National Forests Bummer

You've got two different issues. First is the improper discount. Second is the rude neighbors and the lack of response to your complaint.

Concerning the improper discount: WTH! That shouldn't even be legal. How can they get away with that? I'd issue a formal complaint to the park Superintendent (you're talking about the national park, right?). I tried to find out who the Super is, and it's almost as if they are trying to keep it a secret. Last available information: Pedro Ramos).

Concerning the rubes who stole your spot: People misbehave all the time, but again, the Park personnel should be trained and capable of correcting it. That's another one that falls on the Park Superintendent. I'd probably write a second letter to that person complaining about what happened. The last thing that person wants is for an angry camper (you) to take matters into their own hands to deal with bad behavior from another camper.

Wow never happened, but if it did I would move to another site if available, If not I would set up on the same site and let the ranger/host settle it. I always say it easier to get along but no a REQUIRMENT....

There is no such thing as a US Forest Service park.
There are National Parks and National Forests.
I agree that some contractors should not be in the hospitality business.

Had a woman try to squat in our site at Bryce Canyon NP a few years back, after we went for supplies. Luckily 2 of our "neighbors" chased her away after some arguing with her about the status of the site. We also placed our yellow tag on the post, but she didn't care apparently.

When I had my class c, I would leave an occupied sign on my table and I also put up yellow caution tape across the driveway. If they are going to steal your site, not much you can do about it if they are blatant buttheads. I never had a problem though.

Yes it does. And twice the host just shrugged it off. You can call the cops but it has to be a fed, and they're few and far between.

Recent most experience For me I got there early, paid a night and put the tag on the post. Took my rig into the little town to provision and fill a water tank. Get back and a family is sprawled out on my site, they didn't even take my tag down.

Host gave me my check back at least.
