It depends on the National Parks you plan to visit.
The Annual Pass is $80
Check the websites for the parks you plan to visit and compare the fees listed to the cost of the Annual Pass.
The Annual Pass will provide access for one year from purchase. If you are getting the pass now, it will be good through almost next summer. With some planning you could use it for 6-10+ National Park Sites. Some parks do not have a user fees. Fees are listed on their websites.
There is a free Annual Pass provided to active military personnel if that applies.
Good Luck and Have Fun. Also, with children, most parks have a junior ranger program.
