Your logic is upside down. 1st the park service is broke from all the politicians raiding the kitty or simply removing funding. If you want to fix something, fix that. This is the classic example of building something great then defunding its maintanance.
Second, and you will quickly find this out; Most of the time when one makes senior grade to travel to these places, they are also on fixed income. Thats disposable cash they don't have any longer.
