nc outer banks campgrounds
Planning summer trip to outer banks and looking for some suggestions from fellow travels who have visited the campgrounds in the area. Any info appreciated.

Hatteras Sands Campground in Hatteras Village is pretty decent. Like all of them down there it's a little tight and there's no shade to be had at all. The nice thing about this CG is that it's walking distance to some shops, the sound and marina and as close as possible to the ferry over to Ocracoke.
