nc outer banks campgrounds
Planning summer trip to outer banks and looking for some suggestions from fellow travels who have visited the campgrounds in the area. Any info appreciated.

We have been going down to the Outer Banks for many years. Ocean Waves ranks at the top price wise as it is about half of what Camp Hatteras and KOA are. As far as dog friendly it is very dog friendly however as stated in another post they do not have a dog wash station and do not have a fenced in off leash area. Frisco Woods was full of skitters and very noisy when we stayed there.
Getting in at Ocean Waves is the only problem you will have. I suggest sending in a request for reservations NOW to see if they can accommodate you.
Each cg has its strength and weakness down there. It is up to you to decide what you like best.
