nc outer banks campgrounds
Planning summer trip to outer banks and looking for some suggestions from fellow travels who have visited the campgrounds in the area. Any info appreciated.

Ocracoke Campground is near the wild horses on Ocracoke - they're in a fenced in area set aside so they're protected - apparently they kept getting run over when they were allowed to run truly free. There's a ranger program that's worthwhile.
