- Romer1ExplorerThe Ohio turnpike rest area sites are easy to access, have electric, and are relatively quiet.
Use them every year coming back to IL from NY.The one outside of Toledo (Blue Heron, approx milepost 70)is a pull thru. The one outside Cleveland is not. - Dandy_DanExplorerWe have stayed at Maumee Bay and also at East Harbor. Both are nice campgrounds. Maumee Bay is Water/electric with dump station. East Harbor does have some full hookups. Maumee Bay is about 5 miles east of Toledo and East Harbor is a little east of Pt. Clinton.
Good Luck and Happy Camping. - stickdogExplorerWe stayed here when we came through last month, http://koa.com/campgrounds/toledo/
It's about a mile and half south of 80 easy on easy off. - jeb5ExplorerOhio Turnpike sites are just what you are seeking!!! Good value, very safe, and reasonably quiet.
- flyfishing48ExplorerAs Dennis already mentioned, the Turnpike has camping in a few of the rest areas. One is about 25 miles east of Toledo. It's a separate parking lot with electric, also has a dump station. We have used 2 of them a few times. State police drive through every once in awhile. We felt pretty safe there, slept well. If I recall the fee was about $15.00
