Need Advise on Heading South for the Winter from NW Iowa

Well the first thing I would do is go directly south to the Mason/Dixon line then stop for the night, that will get you out of the cold. Then I would pick up some light weight material like sand or something and throw it up in the air. Which ever way the sand blows, that is the way to travel. You are retired, you have an RV and you have a road map. Every road has an end or a place to U-turn.
