Thanks again - Shot-N-AzExplorerThere is a KOA here in Fredericksburg that gets really good reviews. About 30 min to Quantico from here.
- Ol_cootExplorerNot sure if t is open back-up yet, but there is an RV park there on post, Lunga Park. Been closed since they found some un-exploded bomb near there. Might give them a call: 703-784-5270 and get up-date, explain about your son and you may be able to stay right there on post, Good Luck, Semper-fi I think is the way they all it.
- RoyBExplorer IIType in QUANTICO VA in google and bring up the map... Then type in CAMP GROUNDS in the search window. You will see several camp ground south on US 1 and OFF I95... I just saw five or six...
QUANTICO BASE must have a local MWR camp ground as well... Have no idea where that might be but since you are military might check it out. Might even be FREE to military folks...
Our close by home camp ground is WESTMORELAND STATE PARK and we seem to see alot of ARMY MILITARY there... It is a nice place for us and only 25 miles from King George VA.
DAHLGREN BASE MWR Camp site is located at near PAX RIVER...
Pretty long drive from here and Quantico...
Roy Ken - 1492ModeratorThere's Aquia Pines Camping Resort in Stafford, VA about 8-miles from Marine Base Quantico.
